What Is SAA Angel Tree?

The Student Advocate Association (SAA) of A.T. Still University wants to help children in our community. The Angel Tree project allows us to let the community take care of its children by purchasing Christmas gifts for children in need who would otherwise not receive them, children who wouldn't have a Christmas. The project is put into action by volunteers in SAA as well as any members of the community who can help, including businesses, organizations, and individuals.

What You Can Do:
Individuals who want to help can go to the local WalMart, HyVee, Kelly's Furniture, or the Commons area at A.T. Still and take an angel off the trees placed there. The needs of individual children are on the angels, and you can look them over to see what you can afford to buy. Once you find one (or more--whatever you feel you can do) you can help, you pick that angel off the tree and buy the items listed on it. Once the items are purchased, you'll put all the items for each "angel" into one bag with the paper angel inside or attached to the bag. Then you can drop the whole bag into the "Angel Tree Drop-Off" bin at WalMart. All items must be dropped off to WalMart's Customer Service by Tuesday December 8th. The gifts will then be picked up, wrapped, and distributed by SAA members and other volunteers.

For businesses and organizations who wish to help, monetary donations are obviously accepted; however, donations of wrapping supplies (wrapping paper, scissors, tape, etc.) will be very much needed and appreciated. Also, your business or organization could adopt angels together, purchasing gifts for a few or several angels as a group.

For questions or comments, feel free to comment on this blog and someone from SAA will respond with a new post as an answer. You can also email SAAAngelTree@gmail.com.

Give the gift of excitement and smiles this Christmas. Help SAA give the gift of a loving community to its most precious members--its children.

Thank you in advance for your service in our community.
